1. Choose 14 players from the squads of the series you are entering with a maximum of 7 players from any 1 country.
*Players are associated with each inninngs of the test match so you can choose SR Tendulkar Inn I or SR Tendulkar Inn II or Both!
2. Assign a batting and bowling order to your players and nominate 3 substitutes.
*You may also set a declaration score. Once this score is reached your batting innings will end and you will have the remaining overs in the match to get 10 wickets
3. A Fantasy Cricket Scorecard is created for you based on the players you have choosen and the orders you have assigned
* Your team will have one scorecard for each test match in the series
* You can make unlimited changes to your team before the start of DAY 2 in each test match
* Once the test match starts your players scores and bowling figures will populate your scorecard in REAL TIME.
4. As with any cricket match the totals in your scorecard determine the result of your fantasy match
* The total runs scored by your batsmen is your fantasy team score
* The total runs conceded by your bowlers is your fantasy opposition score.
* To win your fantasy match you must bowl out your fantasy opposition before they beat your fantasy team score.
( i.e. your bowlers must take 10 wickets for less runs than your bastmen's total scores)
Bowling Rule & Penalty Runs
* Your Fantasy Team can take a maximum of 10 wickets
* Once 10 wickets are taken , the bowlers average and economy rate will be used to determine his fantasy bowling figures.
* Once 10 wickets are taken, runs conceded by remaining bowlers in the bowling line up will be ignored.
So think when you are assigning your bowling orders
* Runouts also count as wickets. Only the player responsible for dislodging the bails will be credited with the run out.
Runouts are added to the Wickets column of players in your bowling line up.
Penalty Runs
* If your bowlers do not take 10 wickets or do not bowl the remaining overs in the fantasy match, your fantasy team will face 4 penalty runs for every remaining over.
Batting Rule & Declaring
* If you set a declaration score your batting innings will end once this total is reached
* The batsmen's strike rate will be used to determine his fantasy match score and balls faced.
* Runs scored and balls faced by remaining batsmen in your assigned batting order will be ignored. Which will give you more overs to dismiss the opposition.
Substitute Rule
* Substitutes can only be used AFTER the test match is complete
* You can use your substitutes to replace any player in your starting 11.
* Substitutes take on the bowling and batting order of the player they replace
* Only 2 of the 3 assigned substitutes can be used
* If your substitute does not participate in the test match he cannot be used.
Fantasy Match Length
* The allotted overs for your fantasy match is half the overs bowled in the test match.
(Test Matches can have 4 innings, your fantasy match can have only 2 innings)
* Rain, bad light or an early conclusion to the test match will result in a reduction of overs allotted in the fantasy match.
* You must complete your batting and bowling innings within the allotted overs or your fantasy match will be drawn.
NOTE : The entire "How to play" section is given on the site with pictorial help.So feel free to browse through it.
ESPNSTAR (www.espnstar.com)

1. 6 x Batsmen
2. 4 x Bowlers

4. Selection of a Captain is a must
5. Each player has a rating. The higher the rating, the higher the ranking of the batsman. You have 1000 points and must select players within that rating budget. The player rating is provided by ESPN Star Sports
6. You have to select one player as your team captain. The points he earns (not including bonus points) will be doubled, so you need to make your selection carefully.
7. You cannot select the same player in more than one category within your team. Eg. You can't have MS Dhoni as a batsman and as a wicket-keeper in your team. It has to be one or the other, but not both.
8. Substitution will be allowed at the end of each match for test match it will be at the end of the complete 5 days. The game will be locked at 30 Minutes before the start of the new match, for each match day. After this time your changes will be active for the following day.
